After the castle, we headed on a very long train ride to Mount Aso, which is the largest volcano in Japan. The area is supposed to be really beautiful in the summer, but right now it was a little....yellow from all the dead grass. We were trying to go to the Aso Fire Festival which was being held, although we didn't know too much about it, it would be a bit of a guessing game of where to get off the train!
