Back to Zenkaji

In the morning, we decided to see the temple in the daylight. We first stopped at a cute little cafe along the walk there, for bacon, egg and ketchup sandwhiches. It was so yummy, and a great start to our day. A volunteer English tour guide and came to tell us about the oldest Buddist Temple in Japan. It was such a nice complex, with pretty buildings, and pagodas and lanterns, as well as a dark tunnel where you can go and feel the key to paradise they say. It is the closest you can get to touching the oldest image of Buddah which is housed inside of the temple. They only show it to the public every three years, and even then it is a replica!
