Nara Park is lovely, it is a very touristy place, but full of lots of history and absolutely huge! We really only saw about a fifth of it, there are plenty of temples and shrines 
at the far end of the park which are unbelievable, but not worth the millions of steps in 99 degree heat! I guess I will have to come back and do those later on in the year when the whole of Japan has cooled down!
