Thankfully for us, having missed the parade when we first arrived, the changing of the guards occured every hour for a few hours. It was a very grand changing of the guards, with a band, drums, a conch shell, and very colourful uniforms! I thought the uniforms were a bit showy, but they had a book discribing what each of the different uniforms meant. And up close, the guards are pretty scary! A lot of them have beards and moustaches, and stand all day posing for photographs with tourists! I do love being small sometimes, when it means I can sneak through the crowd to get cool photos like this!
