We discovered quite quickly that the best place to see the passing countryside was to get to the back of the train. In the case of the train going to Tsuwano, there was an open carriage at the back. It was super popular with the kids, and I really enjoyed getting to watch everything, especially watching the cool places we pulled into! I had to get a photo too of this little boy who got especially sooty watching from the train in his TRAIN DREAMS sweater!
