Dazaifu Park
The actual area of the shrine is about 3,000 acres, or 12 square kilometers, so there was a lot to see! The stone was at the entrance, the metal tower thing at a side shrine, and the pretty red ...things, at the top of a very very steep climb up a mountain! We took a massive walk around the park, taking a seriously long way around, but it was nice, and the weather even stopped raining, plus...it was HOT! It was about 27 degrees, and it was the beginning of November! Needless to say, I hadn't dressed accordingly at all! It was very busy in the park, it was a family holiday too, and the kids were all there in their kimonoes, so it was nice to get away from the busy main shrine. Everywhere in the park was so pretty!
