I have this big thing about seeing as much as I can in a day, and although we were so jet lagged, I dragged us all (via a taxi - my first proper Japanese conversation!) to the Tokyo Tower. It is best at night, and it certainly didn't dissapoint! We had heard the lights might not be on, because of energy conservation following the earthquake, but it was super bright and shiney! We were quite lucky because when we got down off the top, the lights had been turned off, and apparently they are only on for a little bit every day! How special are we?

Tokyo Tower
