Disney Sea with Daddy - New York

One of the other American themed places at Disney Sea is a New York harbour kind of thing. It is set more in the 1920s and 30s (I think!). We first got a fast pass to the Tower of Terror, and Im so glad we did because it ended out being sold out later! The fast pass is really quick at Tower of Terror.Once you go inside, even thought they try and make it appear dirty and old, it is just so clean! And I think it is even better than the one in Florida. I suppose, when you have time to see how a ride works and can improve it, it really gets great! I think it is hard to understand all the back story, because it is in Japanese (and we dont have the twighlight zone) it makes it even scarier! And you drop more! It is still my favourite ride! After the Tower of Terror, we headed into the New York themed streets, and while we had origionally decided to eat somewhere else for lunch, we decided to grab some food at this little deli. Japanese sandwiches in general are not great. But Disney is different, and we had soup and a really nice sandwhich with real bacon on it. Imagine, real bacon! I really liked the streets >there, wandering around and seeing the buildings. You can even take a ride in an old fashioned taxi or police car. I find it funny that Disney chose these parts of America to represent, but it sure was fun! It was almost like being back in America, but so much cleaner, and most importantly, with my Daddy! I definitely think that the Tower of Terror is the best ride in the entire park, now that I have been on all the big rides there!

Disney Sea with Daddy- Cape Cod

Golden Week wasnt quite over for me, and I was so lucky, because Daddy came to Japan a week after I got home from Bali. I hadn't even unpacked yet! I havent seen my Daddy since December, when I went back home to America for Christmas. Friday, when I saw him at the hotel, I cried a little. Because, well, hes my Daddy. He was so nice and took me to to Tokyo Disney Sea on Saturday. It was hard to decide what to do in Tokyo, as he lived there before when I was small. And Tokyo Disney Sea didnt exist back then. So off we went. And we
rode all the rides I wanted to too! We started off going through the American part they have there, where it's meant to look like Cape Cod. I won't lie, its so Disney perfect and picturesque, I just love it. I hadnt been since I went with Risa at Christmas, so it was really nice to see it without the Christmas trees and lights! I even got to see some Characters too. We saw Thumper in Cape Cod. I do like it when Disney staff pull out an older character and show him about. I also love that at Disney there is always someone on hand to take your picture and it doesnt cost a thing, unlike in Florida. There arent any rides there, but it still is my favourite!

Tegallalang Rice Paddies

So after cleaning back up, some water aerobics, and having yet another shower (we seemed to be constantly in the shower in Bali) we headed off on a little trip that Jessica and Sarah had planned at dinner. We had yet another driver (not so good this time!) take us out to the rice fields in Tegallalang. Its in the middle of the country, so it's pretty far away, and we all got some well needed sleep on the way! When we finally did arrive, it was just about sunset. So the light was simply beautiful. We didnt go down into the fields, but we did take lots of pictures of us with the rice paddies in the background, but probably most fun was with the rice baskets. There were some farmers there, waiting for tourists like us, who wanted to hold the big things they carry around in the field, and to wear a little hat. Of course they wanted a tip, but it was too fun not to have a go! And it was our final thing to do in Bali before we headed back home!

Just a bit of Parasailing

The time for water sports activities wasnt very long, and I had put it all off untill the very last day! So in the end, I booked Sarah and I to go on the bannana boat. It was so much fun. I needed to be on the water, it really completed the holiday by doing something fun. If I had known it was so fun I would have done it at least once more before we left. We enjoyed the bannana boat, and then I decided to be really brave and go parasailing. Yes, me, parasailing. I am definitely not a person who goes and does things like that. But I had watched people for so long, that I knew I needed to do it. I couldnt possibly leave without doing it. And I wont lie, it was the single most amazing feeling being up there in the air, nothing weighing you down, the wind lifting you up. It was over too soon and it was such a beautiful view, over the sea. It was perfect.

Playing with other Animals

There werent just turtles on turtle island, but a whole collection of exotic animals that we dont see here in Japan or at home in England! We learnt very quickly that it was our guide who was letting people into the cages, as noone but us seemed to be allowed in. There were iguanas, toucans, birds, bats, snakes and an eagle. Definitely in America you wouldnt be allowed to hold an eagle, because they are protected. I think I loved the bat most, he was all furry and kinda wrinkly, but very cute! And of course, I'm not scared of holding snakes, and this one even had its mouth taped shut. My whole experience in Bali really reminded me that I do love animals!

Playing with the Turtles on Turtle Island

After our sunrise and some breakfast, we relaxed a little, tried to pack and then went out on a boating excursion. Apart from being under the water in the sea walker thing, I really hadnt been out in the sea much, so I was thankful for the boat ride. It took us out to Turtle Island, where they rescue turtle eggs, let them hatch and grow, and then release them into the wild. They release a lot more than they keep, but they do keep some, like these big ones. Our guide was quite adamant that we get into the water with the turtles, and Im so glad we did, because it was one of the most fun activities ever. The turtles would eat out of your hand, and even let us pick them up. Sarah and I struggled to pick up the 80kg one which was 80 years old, so we settled on picking up the younger, lighter ones. I think the smile on my face says it all.

Sunrise in Bali

Since I had seen the sunset, kind of, I decided I needed to see the sunrise. Sometimes it was a bit foggy in the morning, but on our last day, Sarah and I woke up randomly in time for the sunrise to just be peeking over the trees. We had a great view of the beach from our room, and I just loved how bright the sun was. This photo wasnt my best, but it is so tropical paradise that I couldnt resist!
