I took so many pictures that night in Otaru, I just couldn't help myself. And the good news was, everyone else was too. I love that about Japan!Everyone is always taking photos. The snow sculptures kept going, with an Ice bar along the way, as well as lots of igloos, and cute little snowmen, and little city scapes.
Soon, these cool circular lanterns started appearing, and they had beautiful leaves pressed into them, and were put on lovely wooden stands. They gave a nice glow to everything too, and put light in higher places. There were also people giving out hot potatoes and mochi right off the BBQ, for free, so you could nibble as you walked. And there was a slide too!
