I made Mikalay pose for all sorts of silly shots in our weekend, but this one was the best! Outside the Aquarium, there were these two cute plastic creatures, holding signs ...for something. But they were adorable. We have become super Japanese, taking photos with anything cute! I love Penguins, so I was glad to have mine with the Kawaii penguin!
I love this photo, because it looks like it belongs on the cover of a magazine, or a fashion catalog. It was taken as we walked towards the aquarium. It was nice and easy to find, but we spotted this lovely building which people can get married in. It was all laid out for someones wedding, and had lovely Christmas wreaths on the outside and curly Christmas trees and all sorts. Mikalay is like me, he takes a million photos, and he caught this one accidentally! It would have been better in a red jumper, but I like that it is all Christmassey - it put me in a Christmas mood!
Saturday morning, we caught the train to Osaka, and because we didn't have breakfast, we ended up having Indian food much closer to midday. We had the whole place to ourself, and some really yummy food! We had fun with our cameras, taking photos of each other and the little lanterns everywhere. I like this one of Mikalay and a random French poster...very arty eh?
I met Mikalay at the station, and we finally found our hostel, which was great! Very snazzy and with a memory form matress! Mikalay showed me his new hat for all that snow in Hokkaido and this snazzy camera, but we couldn't figure how to make it work...no matter what we did :(
As I was walking back to the station after seeing all the lights, I came across this random exhibit being held in the Kobe Hall...it seemed to be a collection of hand made reindeer toys which are made and sent to kids around the world. It was really nice to see all these reindeer from all the different years, and a nice example of Japanese charity work. They were super cute too!
On Friday night, I got an earlier bus to Kobe. Mikalay and I had agreed to meet there, since this was his first time in Honshu (since Tokyo). His plane didnt arrive till later, so I set off for the Kobe Luminaire - the big Illuminations. They are only up for 2 weeks, so I was happy we visited then. I got so lost, but finally found a whole 
lunch of police officers directing people. The lights were to remember the people who died in the big Hanshin earthquake about 10 years ago. They were, quite simply, the most magical thing I have ever seen. They were so amazing. I walked around, taking photos for hours, just listening to the chatter of the people and looking at the magical lights.
When we went to Fukuoka, I bought these cute little black boot/trainer style things. I saw a kid with a pair of them on in Hagi, so I was super happy to get a pair in some random shop when we were shopping in Tenjin. I really like my outfit here! At one of my visit schools, the teachers are really stylish and have the cutest clothes, so I really try and make an effort on Tuesdays! I miss having my normal IKEA mirror in Bristol so I can take photos whenever I want, but this one was much harder to take, but it shows my cute pink flowers framing my mirror!
