No trip to Clifton is complete without a trip to the bridge. The suspension bridge is the best place for visitors to come visit in Bristol, and it is always nice to see people visiting there for the first time. I got some great photos of the bridge, not as fab as the ones from the summer, but lovely all the same.
After my last shot of the bench in the meadow, I thought this one was lovely too - the day was a bit misty, and I thought this place would be lovely to sit and look over the river - but from a different perspective. This was a shot I took on my way to see the Clifton Suspension bridge, just a snapshot in passing. I like how the photo looks like someone should be sitting there!
Down the road from the church are the Guardian Courts. I don't think they are actually used for that anymore, because I never seen anyone in there. It probably is offices or some sort. But it is a lovely building! It is a little dirty in places, but has lovely little gargoyles, and curved stones, with lovely wooden doors! I love it!
Bristol hasn't got as many benches as some cities, but generally, in the park, there are quite a few. I really like the ones there, there is always someone sitting there.
I made a wander up the hill overlooking the Avon Gorge, where you can see the bridge, to take my favourite photo of the day - a bench in a field - the perfect place for sitting, thinking, and admiring the lovely view.
Winter can sometimes be all about freezing rain and disgustingly grey days, but yesterday was
one of those lovely, crisp, clear , blue sky days. I didn't need a coat, it was very cold, somehow, but I wasn't cold at all. 
I loved the way the leaves make noises while you walk all over them. The trees in the park next to Christ Church have all been chopped off at the top, but they are still really beautiful, and almost made silhouettes against the sky.
I love taking photos of lampposts, benches and trees. I don't know why. I think it's because they don't move, and are easy to take photos of! But everytime I see one, I have to take photos of them! I'm not the only one, I just think they are really quite interesting! Clifton is a really perfect place for old fashioned things, perfect for me to take snaps of. It's a shame, some of the ones in Clifton have been replaced to have modern lamps inside them. There were tons of people taking photos of them, so it wasn't a slight bit weird to be taking photos of the lamps! I thought they still looked great against the backdrop of all the wintery trees.
I decided I was overdue for a serious photo session, so I went on a wander through Clifton, as it was closest. It was a bit similar to when I look Mike's camera out in the summer through Clifton, but it was a)muuuuch colder and b)there were no leaves on the trees! It was a really beautiful day, blue skies and a crisp, clear winter day. It was obviously the day to be out, everyone was taking photos! I started with my church, Christ Church, which is a beautiful old building. It's stunning, and it's spire is amazing!
