Weston-Super-Mare in a downpour

It was horrific weather really, but I knew that you can't come to Weston and not see the pier, so we made a visit there. The old pier burnt down a couple years ago, but last year they rebuilt a new one, which I had heard was really quite snazzy. Thankfully there is a undercover walkway, to the end of the pier where they have a massive indoor amusement centre, with go karts, little rides and lots of amusement games! Tons and tons of them! Floors of them! I took some photos of the seaside, but it was very very grey outside. The photos of the amusements looked a lot better! It was really exciting to wander around, especially because we got some lovely sugar donuts too! They are my absolute favourite thing to eat, they were the best thing of the whole sday!

Gardens in Weston

Today Alex and I decided to go to Weston-Super-Mare just down the road from Bristol. It's a shame, as today was a day where it decided to pour it down with rain! Absolutely dreadful weather, but we still decided to go and take some photos and explore. Jill Dando was from Weston, and after she died, they made a memorial garden. It is full of very interesting blue wood, and lots of berries and bushes. It was really pretty, and I was able to get a few shots of the bushes before getting my camera soaked. Everything was really overexposed, because of the settings I had, which made everything look a little sunnier than it was!

Little Black Cat

We visited my cousins for David's birthday, just before we went back to England. They have a really lovely, cuddly cat,(whose name escapes me!) but he is very lovely and a little shy of people (and the camera) Amy brought him everywhere for the party and I managed to get lots of blurry shots of him! Like Jackson, he is black and hard to photograph, but I got this one of him and a little toy he likes!

New Year - a new collection of people photos

I love to take photos, but lately I hadn't been getting very good ones of people (buildings are much easier!) So on the 1st of the year, I brought out my handy dandy flash gun, to see if I could improve my shots! I think everyone looks a little yellow, but I think the softer lighting makes everyone look good!

New Year's - pretty hats and sparkly necklaces

New Year's is always fun, and the day before New Year's Eve I had convinced the Mums to take us to a party store, where we got some really cool hats and sparkly beads, which I just loved! It was great fun picking them out, but we spent so long there, the shop shut! When we were out shopping in the mall, we saw a girl with 2011 glasses, which we hadn't seen since 2000 (and to be honest we figured anything past 2009 wouldn't work) but I insisted on a trip to WalMart to get some! Made me superbly happy! As you can see, we had a super time, dancing around to music and watching Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's Eve, and brought in the year 2011 with super style!

Me, Shelby and Rachel

Rachel and her family are who we always spend New Year's Eve with, and this year, we got to spend a little bit longer with them. We had fun taking photos, and just messing about and doing our nails. We also went out and did some shopping for our little New Year's party! Basically Shelby and Rachel and I just goof off all weekend! It is great fun!

Elizabeth and Isabel

My dad's cousin Stephanie has two adorable little girls Elizabeth and Isabel, who are the cutest little girls ever. We went to visit them on our way to Ann Arbor, and brought them these cool toys called Singamajigs, and they are awfully good fun! We had a nice time playing with all their toys, but they loved the big bag the presents came in best!
